Elite Performance Sports NC, Inc. comes as the brainchild of its charter members where they saw a need to share from collective experiences and passion for the game of football as well as our passion for mentoring, education and inspiring kids to do his or her best. Through these means, we are giving back to the youth of High Point, NC and surrounding areas.
Over the past eight years, we have built a team of like-minded coaches, parents and community advocates that share in our collective vision which propelled us to start EPSNC, to “instill hope in our youth through mentoring, education & sports”.
One of our primary outreach program is our Annual Kings of the Gridiron Youth Football Skills & Agility Clinic held right here at Washington Terrace Park. This past June marked our fifth year hosting this event. This is open to youth ages 5-18, free of charge.
Another major outreach project, the Piedmont Tigers Youth Football and Cheer Club now in its fifth year. In 2019, we had over 170 participant in football and cheer. We want our youth to know the importance academics and giving back to one’s community play in participating in team sports. As a result, we adopted the “Tigers” name to pay homage to the alumni of William Penn High School. Many of these men and women broke barriers and paved the way so that we have this opportunity of continuing to “pass the torch” to future generations in High Point and our surrounding area. Our most concentrated areas of outreach are within a 2-3 mile radius of the doorsteps of what is now known as Penn-Griffin School of the Arts and Washington Terrace Park, which currently serves as our home game day field.
